COUNTY ENGINEER ANNOUNCES TEMPORARY LANE AND ROAD CLOSURES

MARION COUNTY, Fla. (Aug. 11, 2014) – The Marion County Office of the County Engineer announces the following temporary lane and road closures:

Road closure:
Through Oct. 3

Southwest Highway 475A between the intersections of Southwest Highway 467 (Southeast 36th Avenue) and South Highway 475, due to utility pole replacement.

Lane closure:
Aug. 18-Aug. 29

Northwest Gainesville Road between the intersections of Northwest 115th Place and Northwest 120th Street, due to guardrail repairs.

Both closures will occur during weekdays and daylight hours only. Construction crews will place proper signage and barricades to direct traffic through the work zones. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible. Adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances may affect the work schedule.
