Park passes provide free access for a vehicle with up to eight people & an attached vessel to the following parks:

• Carney Island
• Gores Landing
• Hampton Beach
• Hope Boat Ramp (exclusively for pass holders!)
• Horseshoe Lake Park & Retreat
• Moss Bluff North & South
• Ray Wayside Park/Ocala Boat Basin

If your car or van has more than eight passengers, there’s an additional charge of $1 per person.

Marion County residents

Annual park pass: $50, plus tax & an administrative fee.

First-time pass holders must visit our main office & provide proof of residency for Marion County via a valid Florida driver’s license with a physical address.

Seasonal residents may also provide a recent Marion County tax bill if they do not possess a Florida driver's license.

First-time passholders may visit our main office or any tax collector's branch office. Please bring a valid photo I.D. with your Marion County address or copy of your Marion County property tax record when purchasing a pass for the first time.

Residents may renew passes at the main office, any tax collector’s branch office, or at the Carney Island Recreation & Conservation Area during the summer season, on weekends when a staff member is present.

Pass renewals are also available by phone 352-671-8560. It typically takes 7-10 business days for passes renewed over the phone to arrive in the mail.

NOTE: The below fees are effective as of May 1. 

Individual park pass

Marion County residents may purchase KP Hole individual park passes for $40 (plus tax & administrative fees).

Family park passes

KP Hole family park passes are available to residents of Marion County for $55 (plus tax & administrative fees).

This pass covers up to four family members who live in the same household. Additional passengers will be charged $7 at the entrance gate.

Lost passes may be replaced for $5, plus taxes & administrative fees. The replacement pass will carry the same expiration date as the original pass.

The Marion County Board of County Commissioners authorized our department to collect fees at various parks to offset the operational costs associated with keeping Marion County's park system safe & clean. The park pass system was created as part of the department’s strategy to provide options for paying such fees.

A variety of passes are offered to Marion County residents, non-residents, businesses, disabled residents, & active-duty personnel.
