Carney Island Recreation and Conservation Area

Carney Island is a slice of old Florida located on Lake Weir with a wide variety options for anyone looking to enjoy some time outdoors. The park offers a boat ramp and two park sites complete with swim beaches, picnic tables and pavilions, grills and playgrounds. There is also a hand kayak launch and access to a trail system where you may see wild turkeys, Sandhill cranes, gopher tortoises and more. Each park site also has three pavilions each, perfect for your next special occasion.
